5, Church End

No. 5 Church End is a cottage from the mid to late 19th century, part of the Shuttleworth Estate. It is built of mottled pink brick and features a block that borders the road, finished with colourwashed roughcast render. The roof is covered with clay tiles, accented by bands of fishscale tiles. This single-storey structure consists of a two-room block that runs along the road, with a brick block extending from the rear. The road-facing elevation has two three-light cast iron lattice casements, and the entrance is located at the rear. There are brick integral gable end stacks with chamfered angles on the west and north sides. This cottage is part of a group with Nos. 3, 4, and 6 Church End.
