Description

The Ongley Mausoleum, located northeast of the church, was built in 1787 for the Ongley family. This small square structure is made of ashlar and features a hipped leaded roof. It has plain antae at the corners, each topped with a decorative urn. The mausoleum includes a carved eaves cornice with a trefoil design and a gabled embattled porch that has a pointed arched doorway on the south side. Each side of the building has an oval window with plain quatrefoil tracery and leading, and there is a carved finial at the apex of the roof.
