Description
The entrance archway located to the northeast of the stable block at Ickwell Bury dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features clay tile roofs. The archway has a semi-circular head and includes a carved stone keystone that displays the Harvey family coat of arms. A brick dentil cornice runs along the top, and there is a small gabled roof adorned with bands of fishscale tiles. To the southeast, there is a small tower with a square plan, which has a two-stage buttress and three loop windows. This tower also features a brick dentil cornice and a sprocketed pyramidal roof, again with bands of fishscale tiles.
