Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century. It is built with a timber frame, now covered with colourwashed roughcast, and has a thatched roof. Originally, it comprised three rooms, with a single storey and attic space. The ground floor now features a canted bay window and one three-light and one two-light casement window, all replacements from the 20th century. Three eyebrow dormers with two-light leaded casements are in the attic. A 20th-century flat-roofed porch covers the entrance. A red brick double ridge stack with a moulded cornice is positioned centrally, and a red brick external stack is present on the north gable end. A single-storey gabled addition extends from the north gable, and substantial additions were made to the rear in the 20th century.
