Description

No 16 on Bedford Road is a house dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features colour-washed rough cast and some mock-framing over the original timber frame, topped with an old clay tile roof. The building is designed in an L shape, likely constructed in one period. The front wing has two bays and includes an external stack that serves both the ground and first floors. There are two windows on each floor and a central front door. The rear wing also has two bays and is attached to a barn. The house is two storeys high and has modern doors and windows. Inside, there are several arched windbraces supporting the roof.
