Description
Orvis Croft is a house that likely dates from the late 16th century. It features a timber frame, with some parts rendered, and has a plain tile roof along with red brick stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys with a four-bay frame and a rear cross wing. There is an off-centre 20th-century gabled timber porch, and a casement window to the right. The outer bays have 20th-century square bay windows. On the first floor, there are three casement windows and one single-light window. The structure showcases close-studding and straight down braces, with an external stack on the right gable end and an off-centre ridge stack. There is a low extension to the right that is of no special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
