Description
The Kings Head is a public house, likely dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber-framed structure that is cased in painted brick, with a red brick chimney stack and a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys, with a single-storey stable range to the left and an addition under a pent roof to the right. It is composed of three bays and has a central lobby entry with a half-glazed door. The windows are three-light casements, and there are segmental arches on the ground floor, along with a first-floor band. A central ridge stack is present. Inside, there is little exposed framing, but chamfered beams can be seen. Notable interior features include an 18th-century corner cupboard with raised and fielded paneling on the doors, a keyed round arch on pilasters, a shell hood, and shaped shelves.
