Description

Peach Cottage and Gable Cottage are two dwellings that were originally a single house, dating from the 16th century with later alterations and a 19th-century addition. The building is timber-framed and rendered, with part of it built in brick. It has a plain tile roof and is L-shaped, with the main range, known as Peach Cottage, facing the street and a cross wing to the left, along with a projecting single-storey 19th-century addition. The structure is two storeys high, featuring a jettied front. The main range has an off-centre 20th-century door and casement windows, as well as end and ridge stacks. Inside, there are chamfered beams and exposed joists, a blocked 3-light diamond mullion window, and a jowled post with an arch brace supporting the tie-beam.
