Description
Woburn Wine Lodge is a house that has been converted into commercial premises on the ground floor, dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of late 18th century brick, likely a refronting of an earlier structure, with most of the brickwork laid in English bond. It features a 20th century tile roof and has a two-storey main block with a four-window facade, along with an additional bay on the left side that contains a carriage arch.
The ground floor includes a 20th century two-bay shop front, which has two large bow windows on either side of a recessed glazed door. The first floor is adorned with four sash windows that have glazing bars, set in wide moulded timber cases that are almost flush with the wall. To the left, the carriage arch is framed by a moulded timber lintel and piers. Above the arch, the first floor brickwork is reworked in Flemish bond, and there is a small horizontal sash window. The building also features a red brick ridge stack and a red brick stack at the junction with the rear block.
