Description

The Public Library, formerly known as the Leighton Institute, was built in 1845. It features a Neoclassical design with a stucco front and a tetrastyle Greek Ionic pseudo portico. The building is single storey and stands on a plinth, topped with a Welsh slated roof. It has three sash windows with glazing bars and a pair of six-panelled doors. The library is part of a group with Nos 26 to 30 (even).
