Description

Leck House is an 18th century brick house located on Lake Street in Leighton Buzzard. The front features a local bond of vitrified headers dressed with red bricks, topped by an old tiled roof with a brick cornice moulding. The building has three storeys and includes six sash windows in flush moulded frames, all set under flat arches. There is a dummy second window from the right on both upper floors. The central elliptical arch on the ground floor is blocked and features a keystone. A modern shop front has been added, and a former wide passageway on the right side is now blocked. Leck House is part of a group with Nos 2 to 6 (even) and 6A, as well as No 16 Market Square.
