Description

Twin Elms is a house located in Cockayne Hatley, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features colourwashed roughcast render over a timber frame and has a thatched roof. The building has a two-room plan and is one storey high with attics. The original entrance is on the south elevation, and there are two ground floor windows along with one eyebrow dormer, all of which are casements with glazing bars. A small 20th-century porch aligns with the double ridge stack. There is a single-storeyed block that adjoins the east gable end, which is also thatched and has an integral gable end stack. Additionally, there are 20th-century additions to the west and north.
