Description

Number 6 on Church Street is a covered market building from the mid-18th century. It features a flat hipped tile roof, which is supported at the back by a brick wall and by beams that rest on square wooden pillars set on stone plinths. There are six pillars at the front and four on each side. The space between the forward pair of pillars on each side is open, creating a portico along the front. The interior is partitioned off, with a modern shop window on the west side and an old butcher's shop front made of trellis work with sash windows on the east side.
