Description
Nos. 93 and 95 on Hillfoot Road are a house that has been divided into two properties, dating from the 17th century. The building features colourwashed roughcast render over a timber frame, with parts of the ground floor and the west gable rebuilt in brick. It has clay tile roofs and was originally designed in an L-plan. The house is two storeys high, with a cross-wing that is lower than the main block, which was extended in the 20th century to form a T-plan.
On the south elevation, the ground floor has two casement windows with glazing bars, one with three lights and the other with two lights. The first floor has two 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars. There are plank doors, one leading to the main block and another to the cross-wing. The main block features a mottled brick ridge stack at the junction with the cross-wing, along with an external gable end stack on the left-hand side. To the left gable end, there is a single-storey 19th-century outhouse addition with a plank door. The 20th-century extensions are located on the north elevation.
