25/351 Hill Cottage - - II

House. C17; datestone now obliterated. C19 additions and alterations. Datestone in W. front gable J.84.J. may indicate 1884 as the date of these works though the style is somewhat earlier. The house is built of coursed limestone rubble with old clay tile roof. Two storeys. Two large gables over first floor windows with brick dentil eaves. First floor has two 3-light leaded casements with timber mullions and high level transom. These are placed below the gables. There is also a small single light leaded window to the E. end. Ground floor has C20 gabled porch and right hand large bay window.
