Description
No. 258 Old Harrowden Road is a 18th-century cottage located on Old Harrowden Lane. The building features a timber frame with red brick facing on the south gable end and pebbledash render on the other sides. It has a clay tile roof and a two-room plan, with the gable end facing the road. The southern part of the cottage is one storey with attics, while the northern part is a one-storey elevation. The windows include one partly leaded two-light casement and one three-light casement. There is a plank door set in a moulded surround, topped with a small bracketed hood. A red brick ridge stack is located at the division between the two roof levels. The north gable end features a cast iron casement with pointed arched glazing bars.
