Description

This is a 17th-century house located on Old Harrowden Road in Eastcotts. Originally a single property, it was later subdivided into two dwellings. The house is timber-framed with red brick infill on the east-facing elevation, and pebbledash render elsewhere. It has a clay tile roof and an L-shaped plan, with a projection to the rear of the main block. The front elevation features three two-light casement windows on the ground floor, and two three-light and one two-light casement windows on the first floor. The front door to No. 251 is centrally located, in line with a rebuilt red brick ridge stack. The section that was formerly No. 252 has a front door on the left-hand gable, with a 20th-century gabled brick porch. An external red brick stack is located on the west elevation of the cross-wing.
