Description

No. 162 is a cottage dating from the 18th century, located on the southeast side of High Street in Riseley. The building features a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and brick construction, topped with a thatched roof. It has a two-room plan and stands two storeys high. The front entrance consists of off-centre paired doors, which are flanked by two 2-light horizontal sash windows. The first floor has 20th-century casement windows. There is a one-storey and attic addition on the southeast gable end, which includes two plank doors, one casement window, and one dormer with a casement window. Red brick chimney stacks are present at both gable ends of the main block.
