Description
No. 133 High Street is a house dating from the 18th century, with various additions and alterations. It has a timber frame, with the front covered in rough cast and color-washed, while the gable ends are finished in chequered brick. There is a 19th-century addition at the rear, also in chequered brick. The main block features an old clay tile roof, while the rear block has a pantile roof.
The front elevation includes three 20th-century casements, with a three-light leaded casement on the ground floor and a two-light leaded horizontal sash on the first floor. The central entrance has a four-panel door, with the top pair glazed. There are red brick integral stacks at both gable ends. The right-hand gable appears to have been extended later and has a half-hipped roof. On the southwest wall of the rear block, there is an inscription "J.W." on the brick, along with an octagonal red brick gable end stack.
