Description

No. 170 High Street is an 18th-century house featuring a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and a pantiled roof. The building has a two-room plan and consists of one storey with attics. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casement windows, and the attics are lit by two box dormers with 2-light horizontal sashes. The front door, which is off-centre, is a 20th-century addition and is sheltered by a gabled open porch. Red brick integral stacks are located at both gable ends. There are also later one-storey additions to the northeast gable end.
