Description

Rafters is a 17th-century cottage located on the north-west side of High Street in Riseley. It features a timber frame with colour washed plaster infill and a thatched roof. The cottage has a three-room plan and is one storey high with attics. On the south-west elevation, the ground floor includes one sash window, one fixed light where a doorway used to be, and one two-light horizontal sash window with leaded lights. There is also a dormer with a leaded two-light horizontal sash window. A 20th-century door is present, along with one-storey extensions on the north-west and north-east elevations.
