Description
Nos 27, 29, and 31 Ravensden Road are charity cottages dating from the 17th century. They feature a colour-washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and a thatched roof. The building has a T-plan layout, with a two-storey cross-wing to the east and a one-storey block with attics to the west.
The west block includes a ground floor with a five-light casement window with glazing bars, a single-light casement, a two-light casement, and a glazed door. The attic has one gabled dormer with a 20th-century casement window, along with one gable-end stack and one double ridge stack, both made of colour-washed brick. The east block has one casement window on each floor, with a five-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window on the first floor. There is also a thatched lean-to at the rear.
