Description

Rose Cottage is an 18th century cottage that was altered in the 19th century. It features a colour washed roughcast exterior over a timber frame and has a thatched roof. The cottage has two yellow brick end stacks and the original gable end faces the road. It has a two-room plan with a central front door, and a rear wing has been added, creating a T-shaped layout. The building is one storey with attics. On the south elevation, there are three segmental-headed dormers, with one located on the rear wing. Flanking the front door are two modern bay windows, and the door is sheltered by a modern gabled porch. Additionally, there is a modern single storey extension to the west.
