Description

Iceni Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage, enlarged in the 20th century. It is timber-framed, with rendered walls and a gable end built of early 18th-century brick, all painted. The cottage has a steeply pitched thatched roof with a reed covering, end parapet, and an original brick stack constructed of red and yellow gault brick, which has been partly rebuilt. The layout follows a lobby entry plan with a gable end facing the road. It is a single-story building with an attic, featuring one thatched dormer window. There is one casement window. The current entrance is within a 1980s single-story extension on the right-hand side.
