Description
The Bungalows, located on Barford Road in Little Barford, is a row of cottages dating from the 18th century. The cottages are constructed with a rough cast over a timber frame, featuring brick casing on the south gable end, and have a half-hipped thatched roof.
Number 1 is detached from the others and has a four-room layout, while Numbers 2 to 4 share a ten-room plan overall. The cottages are one storey high with attics, and there are 14 ground floor windows, all of which are two-light horizontal sashes with glazing bars. Additionally, there are five dormers, also fitted with two-light horizontal sashes, and four plank doors. The south gable end includes a canted bay with horizontal sashes. The buildings have various red brick double and single ridge stacks, and there are 20th-century single-storey additions at the rear.
