Description
Lower Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of red brick and features an old clay tile roof. The building has an irregular plan and stands two storeys high. The earlier northeast block includes a projecting brick string course and various two and three-light casement windows, all with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are set under later cantered heads, and there is a door on the northeast elevation. The 19th-century southwest block features a two-storey canted bay on the southeast gable end, a rendered string course, and sash windows without glazing bars, which are placed under rendered heads with keystones and a dentilated cornice. Additionally, there is a one-storey outhouse addition that projects from the east gable end of the 17th-century block, featuring a rounded wall on the northwest side.
