Description

The gate piers and gate to Barford House were built in the mid to late 19th century. The gate piers are made of ashlar and are square, standing approximately 6 feet tall. They feature an Ionic base and cornice, with shafts that have chamfered corners and rectangular mouldings on each side. The gate itself is constructed of wood and wrought iron, showcasing a pierced arcading design along with intercolumniar wrought ironwork. This structure is listed for its group value with the house.
