Description

This is an early 19th-century bank, later used as a shop and funeral directors. It is located on the south side of the Severn in Bewdley. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick with a hipped tile roof and stacks to the rear. It is divided into two sections: a two-story section to the left and a three-story section to the right, with a moulded cornice to the parapet, a band at the first floor level, and sill bands to both the first and second floors.

The left-hand portion has three windows, with glazing bar sashes in moulded architraves. A window to the right is set in a slightly recessed area above a carriage entrance. The ground floor has two windows matching the upper floor, and the carriage entrance to the right has a flat head and cast iron gates. The right-hand portion projects forward, featuring three windows with four-pane sashes in eared and shouldered architraves. The second floor has smaller four-pane sashes also set in moulded architraves. The ground floor of the right-hand portion mirrors the first-floor appearance to the right, while a recessed entrance to the left has a segmental head, overlight, and a four-panel door. Cast iron railings with spearheads run along the left-hand portion of the front.
