Description

This is a group of three houses – Glenhurst, Wood Eaves, and Pleasant Harbour – located on the north side of Kidderminster Road in Wribbenhall, Bewdley. The earliest part dates to the early 18th century, with extensions added in the mid-18th century, and further alterations in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The houses are built of brick and have a hipped tile roof, with stacks to the rear.

Architecturally, the houses have two storeys with an attic, lit by three dormers over Glenhurst, and two dormers apiece over Wood Eaves and Pleasant Harbour; all dormers have pedimented gables with moulded cornices. A modillioned wooden cornice runs along the roofline, and there is a band below the first-floor windows. Glenhurst is the original section, with Wood Eaves in the centre and Pleasant Harbour to the right. There are seven windows on Glenhurst, three on Wood Eaves, and five on Pleasant Harbour. All windows are boxed glazing bar sashes set within rubbed brick heads. Glenhurst’s ground floor features six windows similar to the others, except for the second window from the left, which is a large sash with tripartite glazing. The central entrance has a bolection moulded architrave with a flat canopy supported by scroll brackets, and a half-glazed door. Wood Eaves and Pleasant Harbour share similar ground-floor details.
