Description

House. Built in 1623 and restored in the late 20th century. It is a timber-framed building with a rendered infill and a tile roof. The house has a gable end facing the street, with three framed bays. A lateral stack is located in the central bay. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a casement window in the gable. There are restored gablets to the left and right. A slightly projecting oriel of five lights is positioned on the first floor; a five-light casement window is on the ground floor. The entrance is recessed on the right-hand corner, with a 20th-century boarded door. The timber framing shows close-studding with a mid-rail, and a moulded bressummer to the ground floor. The slightly projecting tie-beam to the gable has the date 1623 carved into its centre. Inside, there are chamfered and stopped ceiling beams. The interior is arranged as a large room of two bays to the front, with a single-bay room to the rear on each floor.
