Description
Riverside Cafe is a building that originally consisted of two houses, now serving as a cafe and a flat. It dates from the early 18th century, with mid-19th century and some 20th century alterations. The structure is made of painted brick and features a machine tile roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic that is illuminated by two gabled dormers. The building has a stepped brick cornice and three timber cross-windows, each with rubbed brick heads and stone sills. On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows topped with hipped tile roofs. At the left corner, a passageway is accessed through a semi-circular stone head that includes impost blocks and a keystone. There are two entrances, located just to the left and right of the centre, each featuring plain wooden doorcases with triangular heads, overlights, and 20th century glazed doors.
