Description
The Merchants House is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped tile roof. The building has three storeys and twelve windows, which include glazing bar sashes with plastered wedge lintels. On the second floor, there are nine-pane sashes, while the ground floor has a tiled pentice roof over two 16-pane sashes. The central recessed entrance is accessed by three brick steps and has a glazed door.
On the return front facing Severn Side North, the building also has three storeys and three windows with glazing bar sashes and plastered wedge lintels. The second floor again features nine-pane sashes, and the ground floor has three glazing bar sashes under plastered wedge lintels. To the right of these windows, there is a slightly recessed entrance approached by three brick steps, which has a semi-circular head, a wooden architrave, and a 20th-century panelled door.
