Description
The building is a hop kiln, stables, and cow house dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of random and coursed rubble with brick dressings and has a tiled roof. The structure is aligned northeast to southwest, with the hop kiln located to the southeast, which may have originally been a cow house. The stables are in the center, and the cow house is to the northeast.
The hop kiln features a roof that has been raised with brick to the top of the wall and has a slate roof with a flat top that serves as a ventilator. It has two storeys and two windows with fixed casements. On the ground floor, there is a shuttered window to the left, along with two entrances that have plain wooden architraves and ledged and boarded doors, all beneath segmental heads.
Inside, there are four complete hop kilns. The stables have two shuttered windows, each located to the left of a stable entrance, all under segmental heads. The cow house includes a fixed casement and two cow entries. This building is noted for its completeness and group value.
