Description
Hawkbatch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some extensions added in the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a painted brick plinth and has a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with an attic that is lit by a gabled dormer. There are two windows on the upper floor, both of which are 2-light casements. On the ground floor, there is a porch to the left of the centre, which has a gabled and tiled roof, and a casement window at the front, with the entrance located on the right-hand side wall. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a 19th-century brick lean-to attached to the gable end. The framing consists of four square panels high, and the gable-end truss features three struts to the collar, with two inclined struts above.
