Description
Meadow Cottage is a partly timber-framed cottage that dates from the 16th or early 17th century. It has one storey and an attic, with pebbledashed brickwork and brick dentil eaves. The gable end features an old tile roof that is coped to the left side, and there is an external chimney stack that dates from the 17th or early 18th century, complete with offsets and a substantial base. The right gable end shows exposed box framing above a lean-to, and part of the frame is also visible on the front elevation. At the rear, there is an outshut with a painted stone back wall. The cottage has two gabled dormers with 19th-century wooden casements, and a central gabled porch that contains a boarded door, flanked by 3-light 19th-century wooden casements.
