Description

A warehouse and barn, dating from the early 18th century with an addition from the late 18th century, and later 20th-century alterations. The building forms an L-shape, with number 4 (the barn) extending southwest and number 6 (the warehouse) extending southwest. The south-east front has a projecting range (number 4), where the gable end has been rebuilt in the late 20th century. Number 6, the warehouse, is three storeys high and has bands at ground and first floor levels. It has four windows: the left is blind, followed by a timber cross-window, a blind window, and another timber cross-window on the right, all with cambered heads. The second floor has alternating blind windows and two-light casements. The ground floor has two timber cross-windows with cambered heads on the left, and a wide, 20th-century opening with a rolled steel joist lintel on the right, with remnants of two cambered window heads above. A cellar entrance is to the left. Number 4 has an entrance from the north-east front, which also features two former hit-and-miss diamond-pattern ventilators.
