Description
Hartlebury Castle Lodge is a late 18th-century lodge that has been converted into a house. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a hipped slate roof. Designed in the Gothick style, the building has a cruciform plan with a stack at the rear. It is a single-storey structure, with a central range that projects forward as a canted bay topped with a crenellated parapet. The angled sides of the bay have Gothick glazed sash windows with pointed heads, while the lower flanking wings each contain a similar, smaller sash window. The central entrance is marked by a flat doorcase and a four-panelled door. Originally, this building served as a lodge at the entrance to the drive leading to Hartlebury Castle.
