Description

Park Cottage is a house dating back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of brick and timber framing, with brick infill and a tile roof. The building has two framed bays aligned north to south, with a lobby positioned against a centrally placed chimney stack featuring four shafts with a six-point star plan, which have been restored. The house is one storey high with an attic, lit by two gabled dormers. Two 19th-century two-light casement windows are located on the front, alongside a 20th-century gabled porch. The timber frame shows one square panel above the brick ground floor, likely originally three square panels. The south gable has two collars with queen struts.
