Description

The Hereford and Worcester County Museum Offices, located north-east of Hartlebury Castle, is a coach house and stables that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 17th century and was remodeled in the early 20th century. The building is two storeys high and features a dentilled brick cornice. There are five windows on the upper floor, which are 2-light casements, and six windows on the ground floor, consisting of 16-pane sashes. The outer four ground floor windows have segmental heads, while the other two flank the entrance. The entrance has a segmental pedimented canopy and a bolection moulded door frame, all of which are from the early 20th century. The roof is topped with a hexagonal cupola that has a bell-shaped lead roof capped by a finial. There is also a sundial on the base of the cupola with a painted legend that reads: "Eheu fugaces".
