Description

HARTLEBURY CP HARTLEBURY SO 87 SW 1/78 Hereford & Worcester County Museum Offices north-east of Hartlebury 14.3.69 Castle (previously listed as a part of outbuildings and gate houses at Hartlebury Castle)

GV II Coach house and stables, now offices. Late C17, remodelled early C20. Two storeys, dentilled brick cornice, five windows: 2-light casements; ground floor: six windows: 16-pane sashes, the outer four with segmental heads; the other two flank entrance which has segmental pedimented canopy and bolection moulded door frame, all early C20. On roof hexagonal cupola with bell-shaped lead roof capped by finial; sundial on base with painted legend: "Eheu fugaces".
