Description
High Bank House is a house from the early 18th century that has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of painted brick in an English garden wall bond style and features a machine tile roof with integral gable end stacks. The building stands two storeys tall with an attic, which is illuminated by two gabled dormers. A brick dentilled cornice runs along the top, and there are two windows that have flush framed glazing bar sashes, each with rubbed brick heads and keystones. The central entrance is highlighted by a pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters, leading to a six-panelled door, two of which are glazed. In front of the house, there are cast iron railings with spear-headed rails.
