Description

The Nook is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid to late 19th century. It features a timber-frame construction with rendered infill and a thatched roof. The building has one framed bay that is aligned east to west, and it includes an external brick stack on the east gable, which contains an oven. There is a mid-19th century extension at the rear (north). The cottage is one storey high with an attic that is illuminated by an eyebrow dormer. It has two windows: a one-light casement on the left and a two-light casement on the right. The central entrance is sheltered by a flat canopy and features a ledged door with a small window. The framing consists of three square panels high with straight tension braces.
