Description

MERSTOW GREEN 1. 5249 (West Side) No 43 (Formerly listed under Merstow Place) SP 0343 4/129 29.6.73 II GV 2. Early-mid C19. Red brick; 2 storeys; 3 sash windows with keyblocks and plain lintels, the window to right of 1st storey replaced by modern casement; central doorway with semi-circular head, plain fanlight and modern door; dog-tooth eaves; slates.

Nos 41 to 43 (consec) form a group.

  1. MERSTOW PLACE 5249 SP 0343 4/113 Nos 2 and 4 II 2. Probably early C16 but now much altered. Stone, faced in stucco; 2 storeys; band; pseudo-quoins at sides; 2 modern casement windows each, replacing former sashes; altered doorways with modern doors; tiled. Interior has exposed ceiling beams and each has a plain C18 staircase, that to No 4 encased in modern panelling.
