Description

This is a tower built in the 1860s to 1870s by Dr. W K W Chafy, located about 100 metres east of Rous Lench Court. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and has a square plan, featuring a circular stair turret at the north-east corner. Designed in the Italianate style, the tower stands four storeys high and is topped with a crenellated parapet supported by machicolations. The stair turret is slightly taller than the main structure. Each floor has distinct window arrangements: the first floor has two semi-circular headed windows on each side, the second floor has two square headed windows on each side, and the third floor features three blind square headed windows on each side.
