Description
The garden wall adjoining the north-east corner of Mill Hall is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in the early 19th century and altered in the mid-20th century. It is constructed of brick with a stone coping, standing approximately 5 feet high and extending about 60 yards in a north-easterly direction from the house.
On the south-east side, the wall features a blind arcade with alternating large and small arches that have cambered heads, and there are 9 bee-boles integrated into 9 of the smaller archways. On the north-west side, close to the house, there are small blind archways with cambered heads, along with 3 hen houses that also serve as buttresses. These hen houses are about 4 feet high and have small openings with stone lintels at their bases. Additionally, a gateway has been added to the wall approximately 6 yards from the house.
