Description

The Boulter memorial is located about 10 metres west of the west tower of the Church of St Egwin. This headstone, which dates from 1912, was created by Eric Gill. It is a tall, narrow headstone featuring a cross-shaped panel that displays a dove and a chalice, along with a primitive crucifixion below. The inscription panel has raised and moulded edges and reads: "Walter Consett Boulter Priest Vicar of Norton and Lenchwick from 1894 to 1902 Born 22 Jan 1848 Died 5 Feb 1912".
