Description

Cordwainers Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with later alterations. It is characterised by square-panel timber framing, infilled with painted brick nogging. A plinth and a vertical panel are visible on the left-hand side of the facade. The roof is tiled, with rebuilt brick end stacks, one of which is shared, and two gabled dormers. The house is single storey and attic, with two framed bays and a narrower brick bay at the left end, possibly indicating a former external chimney. The dormers have renewed triple 2/2-pane casement windows. On the ground floor are three replacement 4-pane casement windows and a 20th-century door with a hood above it. The left-hand window is positioned to the side of the door. The interior has not been inspected.
