Description

This is a terrace of five houses, now shops, located on Sidbury in Worcester. The earliest sections date to the early 18th century, with later additions and alterations, including a late 19th-century shop front. The building is constructed of pinkish-red brick, with a plain tile roof and brick stacks to the rear and party walls, featuring oversailing courses and decorative pots.

The two-storey terrace has attics and a total of twelve first-floor windows (arranged as 3:2:2:3:2). The first floor features two original single-pane horned sash windows, a blind opening, four renewed 6/6 pane sashes, a blind window, and two further 6/6 pane sashes, all set within near-flush frames with cambered arches and sills. A three-course band runs above the first-floor windows, though this is missing above windows eight and ten.

The ground floor has shop fronts, largely of Victorian design; the shop front on the right-hand side incorporates turned mullions and acanthus corbels, as well as glazed shop windows and part-glazed windows. Seven attic dormers are present, three of which have hipped roofs.

The interior of the house on the left includes exposed timbers to the staircase, which is located between the front and rear rooms.

This terrace forms a group with Nos. 79 and 79A, 81, The Commandery, No.1 The Commandery Drive, and Nos. 87-111 (odd).
