Description
The King's Head Public House is a former pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations, including renovations around the 1980s. The building features stucco over brick, with a pinkish-brown brick rear, a plain tile roof, and end stacks made of pinkish-brown brick, complete with oversailing courses and pots.
The exterior consists of three storeys and five first-floor windows arranged in a 3:2 pattern. The first floor has six-over-six sash windows, while the second floor features three-over-three sash windows, all set in near-flush frames with sills. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top. On the ground floor, there are two wide, cambered arched windows with etched glass set in plain reveals with sills. Between these windows, there are six-panel double doors topped with a cambered overlight, also in plain reveals. Additionally, there is a straight-headed carriage entrance with double plank doors, a plate glass window to the right in plain reveals with a sill, and a further entrance featuring a part-glazed door.
The ground floor interior has been gutted. The King's Head Public House is part of a group with Nos. 57-69 (odd).
