Description
This building, located at 81 High Street in Worcester, is a house that has been converted into a shop. It likely dates from around 1750, with later changes made to the facade between 1820 and 1840, and a shop front added in the 1980s. The exterior features stucco over brick, designed to look like ashlar, and has a hipped tile roof at the center. The building has three storeys and an attic, with three first-floor windows. It includes 6/6 sash windows in nearly flush frames, with the sills on the first floor having been replaced. The top of the building is adorned with a frieze and a renewed moulded cornice, along with a low coped parapet that hides a flat-roofed dormer. The ground floor has a glazed shop front with a glazed entrance. Inside, the ground floor has been completely gutted, while the first floor still showcases original joinery and plasterwork, including moulded cornices and transverse beams.
