Description
74 and 75 High Street are two houses that have been converted into shops. They are likely from around 1800, with some later additions and changes, particularly to the ground floor in the 1980s. The buildings are made of brick, which has been colourwashed, and they have a concealed roof. They stand three storeys tall and feature two windows on the first floor and one additional window. The first floor has two 2/2 sash windows and one 6/6 sash window, while the second floor has 6/6 sash windows, all set in plain reveals with sills. There is a crowning band and a coped parapet at the top. The ground floors have glazed shop fronts and entrances. The interiors of the ground floors have been completely gutted, and the rest of the building was not inspected.
